Dedicated to Kelli ~ the Florist~
Our friends Pim and Jan took us to the flower market at midnight on Friday night. Apparently the flower market is busy all night long, because that's when the deliveries are made. It was just picking up when we arrived. Flowers were EVERYWHERE. They use orchids for funerals, so we saw a lot of those. You could purchase about thirty long-stemmed roses for about $1.75 - great deal for Valentine's Day.

I LOVE IT! Flowers, everywhere, all the time. What could be better?
(Except on V-day. I learned first hand that a flower shop is NOT a happy place on V-day. We were all tired and cranky: "Where's that d--- ribbon gone?"; "Just gimme two freaking roses!"; "This must be the five hundredth time I've made that arrangement!"; etc.)
I love that you all are having such fun adventures! I'll be sure to check the blog regularly.
Seriously, what a fun experience!! I loved the menu with all kinds of great surprises. I can't wait to follow along with your travels. :)
Denise, It looks like you are having some fun adventures! Although, I think you should stay away from the chicken ovary's...
Hi Laura! Nan told me about your blog, and I'm so excited to read about your experiences. Maybe I can have a vicarious cultural experience through your blog since who knows when I'll ever be able to travel the world. The menu you posted makes me wonder if I'm ready for a true cultural experience anyway!
